Friendship Kids began as a Mother’s Day Out program in August 2004. In 2008, we welcomed our current Director, Kim Richardson, whose leadership helped transition the program into a comprehensive preschool by 2009. Most recently, we hit a major milestone in 2025 by launching our very first Kindergarten class. We are proud of our history and excited to see how God continues to use this ministry to serve our families!
We provide a morning snack for all students and are happy to accommodate specific allergies to ensure every child stays safe and included.
We do ask that parents pack a daily lunch for their child. Please note that we do not have facilities for refrigeration or reheating, so we recommend packing items in an insulated lunchbox with an ice pack or using a thermos for warm meals.

Friendship Kids is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, and Good Friday. We generally align our major breaks with local school districts for the convenience of our families.

For families interested in our Kindergarten class, students must reach their 5th birthday on or before September 1st of the enrollment year. This alignment with local school district cutoffs ensures our students are socially and academically prepared for their next steps after Friendship Kids!
Yes, we are a Texas-licensed child care facility. This certification ensures that our staff is background-checked and CPR-certified, our building meets rigorous safety codes, and we maintain the specific caregiver-to-child ratios required by the state for optimal supervision. Our facility undergoes regular unannounced inspections by the Department of Health and Human Services to ensure we are providing the highest quality care in a safe, secure environment.

Yes. We accept vaccine exemptions with the required documentation. To ensure the health and safety of all our students, we require either up-to-date vaccination records or a formal vaccine exemption affidavit to be kept on file for every student before they begin the program.
Regarding weather-related closures or delays, we prioritize the safety of our families and staff. If weather causes a cancellation or delay, your teacher will notify you directly as soon as the decision is made.
To help families budget, our tuition remains the same month-over-month for the entire school year.
One-Time Fees: There is a $250 registration and supply fee due upon enrollment. This fee covers your child's materials for the entire school year.
